Gwendoline ABUNAW has been installed as president of the Professional Association of Credit Institutions in Cameroon -APECCAM.
The Professional Association of Credit Institutions in Cameroon , in its French acronym APECCAM has a new president at the helm of affairs. Gwendoline ABUNAW is the new head . she has been installed on Thursday august 18 2022 , in the economic capital, Douala by the minister of finance Louis Paul MOTAZE in the presence of the minister of labor and social security Gregoire .
Gwendoline ABUNAW has officially been installed as the president of the association of credit institutions in Cameroon. Her wealth of experience in the banking sector makes her suitable for the role, reasons why all votes were cast in her favor during the general assembly meeting on June 23, 2022.
The installation ceremony took place on Thursday August 18, at Akwa palace , in the economic capital of Cameroon and was chaired by the minister of finance Louis Paul MOTAZE alongside the minister or labor and social security Gregoire OWONA.
Gwendoline ABUNAW, who also serves as managing director of ECOBANK, replaces Alphonse NANFACK, ex General Manager of Afriland First Bank .

A graduate in Economics, Banking and Finance from the University of Buea and an MBA in Finance from London Metropolitan University, Abunaw, began her career in 1998 as an Analyst at Standard Chartered Bank Cameroon, before joining Ecobank Cameroon, in 2004. In 2005, she joined the management of the investment bank of Citibank Cameroon and attained the rank of Resident Vice-President. Returning to Ecobank Cameroon in 2011, her dynamism and poise has earned her the position of Managing Director.
Like they say heavy is the head that wears the crown and in her case, she is expected to lead reflections on the economic and social challenges in the banking industry , in order to offer financial institutions a conducive environment for their development. A task she is ready to fulfill .

APECCAM is an association that represents all banks and financial institutions established in Cameroon. Its members come from companies and establishments registered on the list of credit establishments kept by the National Economic and Financial Committee (CNEF) as well as those declared public bodies of a banking nature. In addition to the promotion of banking and financial activity at the Cameroonian, African and international levels, it defines the positions, proposals or concerns of the profession vis-à-vis the public authorities and authorities in the economic and financial field.
